Q: How do I become a volunteer for the 2011 tournament?
A: To become a volunteer for the 2011 tournament, simply fill out the online application listed on the main volunteer page.

Q: Is there a fee to volunteer?
A: Yes, the fee to volunteer for 2011 is $35.
Q: What is included with the $35 application fee?
A: All volunteers will receive a golf shirt with tournament logo, a jacket with tournament logo, and official tournament hat with logo, one volunteer credential (good for ground pass and parking pass for the entire week), 4 weekly tickets and a meal on scheduled days to work.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept for the volunteer application fee?
A: We accept cash, check (payable to: Sybase Match Play Championship) and credit cards (AmEx, Visa, MasterCard and Discover).
Q: When are the Volunteer Registration Deadlines?
A:. Online applications will be accepted up until Wednesday, May 11th, 2011. Any last minute registrations will need to contact Tournament Manager, Sara Rogers.
Q: How many shifts am I required to work?
A: All volunteers must work at least 3 shifts. Shifts are typically 4-6 hours long (1 shift equals AM or PM on the application)
Q: How long is a typical shift?
A: A typical shift averages 4-6 hours in length but will vary depending on your committee assignment. Please see the Committee Description Chart for a better idea of shift times and length.
Q: Do I need to be an experienced golfer to volunteer?
A: No you do not; we have several committees that do not require any golf knowledge. To see the full list of committees available please look at our Committee Description Chart.
Q: When will I be notified about my committee assignment?
A: Your will be notified of your committee assignment as soon as you have paid your $35 Volunteer Fee. You will also be contacted by your committee head 2-3 weeks prior to the tournament. At this time your committee head will confirm your committee assignment and your tentative schedule.
Q: Can I work on more than one committee?
A: Yes, just indicate which committees and when you would like to work when filling out your application.
Q: Can children work/volunteer?
A: Volunteers must be at least 13 years old. Children under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign a waiver of release for them to volunteer.
Q: Can I purchase additional uniform items?
A: One additional shirt may be purchased at a price of $15 when you send in your application; otherwise additional uniform pieces will be available for sale starting Wednesday of tournament week.
Q: When can we pick up our uniforms?
A: Uniforms will be available to pick up during our volunteer uniform distribution and training. Please check back at a later time for more details.
Q: Can I exchange my uniform if it doesn’t fit?
A: Yes you can. You will have the option to exchange your uniform in volunteer tent when you show up for your first shift. Additional sizes will be available on a first come, first serve basis. (Please refer to sizing chart under the Volunteer Uniform Tab for additional guidance)
Q: Will I be able to purchase additional uniform pieces at uniform distribution?
A: We will start selling additional uniform items on Monday of tournament week.
Q: What should I wear when I volunteer?
A: As part of your volunteer package you will receive a golf shirt, jacket and a hat. While on duty we ask that you wear the provided shirt with khaki bottoms (shorts, pants or golf skirts). No denim will be permitted.
Q: How do I get to the golf course?
A: Directions can be found under the Tournament Info tab on this website.
Q: Where do I park for the tournament?
A: The volunteer’s have been assigned to Lot B. Please utilize this lot for parking the week of the event. Directions to this lot can be found under the Tournament Info tab on this website.
Q: Should I still show up to work if it is raining out?
A: Yes, unless you have been contacted by your committee head.
Q: Where do I go when I show up to volunteer?
A: When you get to the course you will need to park in Lot B and wait for a volunteer shuttle. The shuttle will drop you off at the volunteer tent where you should check in for your shift. Once you check in, the volunteers in the tent will be able to direct you where to go for your shift.
Q: Will there be a volunteer party? When and where will the party be located?
A: Yes, please check back at a later time for a time and date.
Q: Will breakfast be provided?
A: A Continental Breakfast (Bagels, pastries, fruit, coffee, tea and water) will be provided to volunteers in the volunteer tent on the days they are scheduled to work.
Q: Where do I pick up my voucher for lunch?
A: All volunteers need to check in with Volunteer Services when you show up for your shift. When you check in for the day you will be given your lunch voucher.
Q: Where do I redeem my lunch voucher?

Q: Can I bring outside food and beverage?
A: Outside food and beverages are not allowed on site.
Q: I have special Dietary Needs, who can I contact about this?
A: Please contact Tournament Manager, Sara Rogers. We will do our best to accommodate any special needs.
Q: Will I receive additional tickets?
A: Yes, you will receive 4 weekly tickets to give to your friends and family.
Q: When will I know what professionals will be playing the tournament?
A: The final field will be posted on the website Tuesday, May 10th after 5:00pm.
Q: Is there special access for patrons with disabilities?
A: Handicapped parking will be available on-site. The parking information page will be updated soon, please check back for more information.
Q: Does the tournament provide public transportation to and from the event?
A: The tournament does not provide public transportation to and from the event. There is a bus line and a train station; however neither of them will bring you directly to the course.
Q: Can I ask for Autographs while volunteering?
A: It is strongly discouraged for uniformed volunteers to seek autographs during any of the rounds, as it is disruptive to the LPGA pros. If you wish to ask for autographs, please do so at times when you are not wearing your volunteer uniform.
